Description
Easy to use compact and lightweight endfed antenna for HF bands (EFHW).
- Deploys in seconds – ideal for POTA activations and preparedness scenarios. Requires use of a mast, tree or another raised anchor point.
- BNC male connector. Short run of coax is required for connecting the transceiver. Coax shield acts as counterpoise to the radiating element
- Up to 30W with high duty digital modes operations and up to 50W on Voice/SSB
- Uses 49:1 transformer on FT-82-43 ferrite toroid core
- S-carabiner to connect to the anchor point
Antenna Variants Offered
- 20M – Comes with ~10m of silicone-insulated 22AWG wire (random colors) – natively resonant on 20M and 10M bands; may be usable on 17M and 15M with an antenna tuner. This variant is optimized for quick daytime deployment with limited space and anchoring options. Works perfectly in a vertical arrangement with a 10m mast.
- 40M – Comes with ~20m of silicone-insulated 24AWG wire (black or yellow) – natively resonant on 40M, 20M, 15M, and 10M bands; may be usable on other bands with an antenna tuner. This variant is optimized for maximum band coverage. Due to the longer wire length, deployment typically involves an angled or horizontal arrangement anchored to an elevated point.
Fine tuning
To optimize the performance for a specific area of the band, slide the knot on the end of the wire to increase or decrease the size of the loop this will move the resonant point up and down the frequency respectively.
